vinegar
Aside of the pizzas, lemonade, or crab I ate this week that I forgot to capture, heres some information to a common ingredient in cooking. As a kid, I used vinegar as a base for apples, slightly ripen papayas, and guavas. Just throw them in a bowl, add salt, pour on vinegar and you have yourself a snack. Vinegar can be used for many things. Its basically fermented sugar thats turns into acetic acid giving us its sour taste. Some benefits from it are disinfecting, food preservative, and healing properties. From friends, I learned they use vinegar in rice to help it last longer or in the laundry to get rid of odor. Ive seen my dad soak his swollen feet in vinegar diluted with water. The most interesting experience I had with the vinegar mixture was after funeral mass where an elderly rubbed and slapped my forehead with it. Its a filipino tradition thats been done before that they follow. Its sort of used to clean all the worries so your head will not get a headache also.
