Easy ice pops
Known in the Philippines as ice candy, they are easy to make and takes you back to ones childhood there. I had some halo-halo mixture laying around and decided to use it. Halo-halo means to mix and has young coconut, coconut gelatin, chickpeas, mung beans, and jackfruit. Typically halo-halo is made with shave ice, but as a lazy way I decided to to freeze them in bags lol.
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of halo-halo preserved fruit mix
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 1 cup milk
Its a pretty simple process. Strain the syrup from the bottle and divide the contents into ice candy bags. Mix the milk and condense milk then pour into bags. Be careful because the bags are small in size and can be a bit tricky. Once you've reached a desired length, tie bags and place on plate. I like to move the bag around before freezing so the halo-halo mixture doesn't stay in the bottom. Wait until hardened and there you have it. If you don't like halo-halo, some people use chocolate milk powder, avocado, or coconut.
